final evaluation

final evaluation since the begging of term I have learned so very much , I have had many opportunities to expand my skills so I have taken and some I have not and I have worked hard with my peers to achieve the goals I set for myself I my action plan. Since my baseline performance I have worked incredibly hard on improving my vocal projection, I have taken vocal workshops and learned that for the audience to hear you its not all about volume it is about diction , tone, expression and the way your breathing. I believe I have improved a fair amount on this skill I enjoy doing tongue twisters to help with my diction especially the one about the pheasants. As well as the vocal workshop I have also taken part in a characterisation workshop, status workshop and   a few other and I learnt valuable performance skills in each. During the characterisation workshops we did hot seating and I feel as if I excelled at this activity as I have the ability to tap into my characters fee...

baseline performance evaluation

Baseline performance evaluation   My baseline performance was based on a newspaper article which are teacher found. We then as a class created a character from the subtext within the article. The character we created was named hope harper. Each of us got to play hope at a separate stage of her life I myself played hope age five. I wrote a monologue to perform as my version of the hope character which consisted of 4 short paragraphs and spend around a hour each evening at home rehearsing. I also rehearsed my monologue in class as well as practiced techniques which should of helped my performance be more successful. When it came down to performing my scene I was incredibly nervous, I felt prepared but I allowed my nerves to affect the quality of my performance. I started out my performance with two false starts and would not allow my full class to watch me. Watching my performance back on video I can see I need to work on portraying my characters age better by using body la...

SWOT ANALYSIS

S.W.O.T EVALUATION Strength I’m good at many things in performance including Dance, physical theatre, stage makeup and special effect makeup. During performances I have used different characterisation techniques to develop character and I feel as if I used each one well. I specifically enjoy the warm up games and techniques we have been using. I find the exiting and they help me get into the performing mood. I think I particularly excel at hot seating and thought tracking as I have the ability to understand my characters personality and deeper thoughts and emotions that they may have. I am most confident when using the characterisation techniques particularly conscience corridor, thought tracks and exaggeration. I feel my strengths as an overall performer lie in my dance skills and this is where I excel in but I also find reading scripts easy as I have strong literary skills. My team skills are adequate although I sometimes struggle with communication du...

Yes he makes me cry but that’s okay because I have my unicorns and ponies to cuddle when he won’t give me cuddles. Yes he sometimes forgets to cook my dinner but that’s okay because sometimes the really nice lady Mrs Hopkins invites me over to bake cakes with her and her cats, i always bring them home and hide them under my bed. evaluation of hope harper monolugue

My point of view What worked in your performance? . I used a good monologue that related well to my character and gave backstory and insight into my characters life. . I remembered my lines. . I spoke in a childlike tone (relevant to my character) What didn’t work? . My body language didn’t reflect the age of my character. My character is six years old I chose to stand and walk around I could have sat on the floor, fiddled and adjusted my posture to how a child of that age would stand. . I spoke in too soft of a tone. Due to stage nerves I tend to lower my tone on stage so need to work on projection. . I focused too hard on memorizing my lines instead of playing my character. In order to fix this I must Work harder in not showing the thought process on my face and selling my performance. Audience p.o.v     What worked? .the innocence of my character role. (The way I showed naivety when I thought the character of my father simply went for...
